Winter is coming and for hockey fans, that's great news because that means the season for outdoor hockey is right around the corner (depending on where you live in the world, that season may already be underway).

There's no feeling quite like lacing up your skates outside and taking those first strides on an outdoor rink or frozen body of water.  Obviously the body of water route is a little more dangerous if the ice cracks, but it's definitely more exhilarating.

The entire experience is also more enjoyable when you can play with your teammates and friends, and that's exactly what players of Luleå HF had the chance to do for a team practice on Monday.

Luleå HF is a team in the SHL and they took their practice to the ponds of the Luleå harbour. It was an incredible sight to say the least and it just made us want to find the nearest frozen pond to skate on.
