It was long rumoured, and Anthony Davis finally got his wish: He’s joining forces with LeBron James in Los Angeles.
It’s hard to turn your noses up at the return going to the Pelicans: Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart are all interesting prospects, and they’re also getting this year 4th overall pick in addition to two more future first rounders. Not a bad cast to surround Zion Williamson at all.
Meanwhile, LeBron and Davis will instantly form one of the league’s best duos, and depending on the actual timing of the trade, the Lakers may have a chance to pursue another superstar in free agency as well.
The Lakers are going to be quite the team next year, and the entire basketball world will be watching, no doubt.
