The Arena Football League has been around for quite some time, but three of the current four teams joined the league within the last two years. The Washington Valor are one of the newer teams in the league and are hoping to have a much better season than last year as they finished last place in the league with a 3-15 record.

The Valor entered Saturday night’s contest against the Baltimore Brigade in search of their first win of the season and they turned to one of the teams they share the city with for some inspiration.

After scoring his third touchdown of the game to give his team a 27-21 lead in the first half, Reggie Gray grabbed a T.J. Oshie Washington Capitals jersey out of the crowd and ran around the field waving it around during his touchdown celebration.

The Valor’s social media team also celebrated Gray’s third touchdown of the evening with a Capitals-themed gif and tweet.

It didn’t end up being a good night for either D.C. based team as the Capitals dropped their third straight game to fall behind 3-2 in the series, while the Valor ended up losing by one point for their fifth straight loss of the year.
