Alexander Ovechkin got a lot of heavy weight off his shoulders this past NHL season has he helped lead the Washington Capitals to their first ever Stanley Cup title in franchise history.

Heading into the season a lot of fans and analysts didn’t put much faith in Ovi and the Capitals and even put him pretty far down on the pre-season player rankings, but the 32-year-old led the NHL with 49 goals during the regular season and 15 during the postseason. As a result of his incredible year and the historic feat for the team, artist Daniel Duffy honoured the Caps’ captain with this incredible word art.

The image above is entirely handwritten by Duffy and includes the date, score and opponent of every Capitals game from the 2017-18 season.

This isn’t the only sports moment he’s incredibly recreated through word art. Other players that have gotten the treatment include LeBron James, Clayton Kershaw and Allen Iverson.

Happy 43rd birthday to Allen Iverson!
