Auston Matthews can score, pass, and apparently chirp just as well... if that's what you want to even call it.

On Wednesday night, the Leafs all-star went viral not for a goal, but an encounter he had with Ottawa Senators forward Scott Sabourin. After the latter appeared to talk a little smack, Matthews absolutely roasted him without even saying a word. He simply looked over both of Sabourin’s shoulders to imply he’s a no-name. Sabourin is 27 without an NHL game to his name whereas Matthews is 22 with 212 and 111 goals.

Fans were obviously loving it:

We respect Scotty for doing his thing, but maybe, just maybe think twice before running your mouth at one of the best players in the world next time? Also- can we acknowledge for a moment how much Sabourin looks like a young James Neal?!

It’s not like Matthews was having an off-game either. Before Sabourin shot off at him, he already had two goals in the bank including a ridiculous second period snipe to cut the Sens' lead to 2-1. Matthews finished the game with four shots on goals over 22:50 minutes of ice.

Sabourin and the Senators eventually had the last laugh with a 4-3 victory and their second win in as many nights against the Leafs, but he’ll probably think twice before coming after Matthews again if he ends up cracking the Sens' roster for some games this season.
