Antoine Griezmann is one of the fulcrums of a now-crowned French National team. France beat Croatia 4-2 in a thrilling World Cup final to take home soccer’s most prized possession, and it was definitely in huge part to Griezmann’s contributions throughout the tournament.

Griezmann also scored on a penalty kick to give France the lead heading into halftime, a lead they would not relinquish. To bring things full circle, somebody dug up a 20 year old video showing a 7-year-old Griezmann hunting for signatures from his national heroes after they won the World Cup in 1998.

Pretty cool how sports can come full-circle, and even cooler that now Griezmann will be the one signing autographs when he returns home. Maybe he’ll pay it forward and inspire another future French hero.
