Barrie Colts issue fans fishing licenses ahead of their series with the Mississauga Steelheads

The OHL regular season wrapped up this past weekend and the playoff matchups are all set. The Barrie Colts clinched the second seed in the Eastern Conference and will meet the seventh seed Mississauga Steelheads in the opening round.

Since rivalries get a little more intense come the postseason and teams like to have fun at their opponent’s expense when it comes to playoff promotions and that’s exactly what the Colts did with their promo for the first round of the postseason.

The Barrie Colts have provided all their fans with their own Barrie Fishing Licenses and listed the steelhead as the permitted species.

Fans attending any of the Colts’ home games during the opening round of the playoffs can fill out the team’s fishing license and submit it in a raffle at the arena for a chance to win a framed team photo.
