If you’re a reporter that works for a news station that covers more than just news, weather and traffic and gets assigned to a sports game, then keeping up with all the transactions on a 25-man roster for a baseball team can be a bit of a challenge sometimes.

Ahead of the Rockies and Dodgers game on Tuesday night in Los Angeles, KTLA reporter
David Pingalore was under the impression he was interviewing Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez when really it was rookie outfielder Noel Cuevas.

Pingalore addressed Ceuvas as Gonzalez, and that’s when the awkwardness began. The reporter then mentioned that he went way back with CarGo from their time in Orlando together in the minors.

That’s when Ceuvas finally had enough and informed Pingalore that he was not Carlo Gonzalez.
Awkwaaaaardddddd.

He really had to look on the back of Ceuvas’ jersey to realize that he had messed up on live television.
To be fair, Ceuvas wears No. 56, while Gonzales sports No. 5, so you could see how he screwed up.

But it begs the question, if he had actually known Gonzalez from before, wouldn’t he remember what he looked like? Come on, maaaaan.
