We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, every team in baseball needs a bat dog. We’re not talking about just the big league teams, we mean every team.
On Wednesday night, Trenton Thunder’s bat dog, Rookie, helped out the Buffalo Bisons for the night for their game against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and Rookie got a little too excited early on in the debut.
Everyone from the broadcast booth to the players, to the fans, they all got a kick out of the moment and couldn’t help but take a moment to watch it all unfold and take it all in.
The Bisons failed to pick up the win but fans probably still left with a smile on their face all thanks to Rookie.
