Bauer Hockey is helping players, fans, and coaches return to the game safely with a new line of face protection products.

On Wednesday morning, the brand unveiled two new off-ice protection masks; the Integrated Cap Shield and Reversible Fabric Mask, and one on-ice protection splash mask; the Concept Three Splash Guard. According to Bauer's website, the reversible mask is available now, whereas the shield and guard will be ready by August.

The Integrated Shield can be attached to the brim of a baseball cap or worn separately, and includes both adjustable straps and anti-fog treatment. The Reversible Fabric Mask is available in different designs and is "an effective and comfortable option to be worn around the rink or in communities," according to Bauer's website. The Concept 3 Splash Guard can be cleaned and disinfected for re-use.

Protecting hockey players has been our mission for decades, and in response to the challenges created by COVID-19, we have taken learnings from our medical-grade face shields to design products which will keep our community safe both on and off the ice. We are excited to introduce the Integrated Cap Shield, which can be worn over the brim of a baseball cap or by itself, offering eye, nose and mouth splash coverage with a built-in Anti-Fog treatment. It complies with ANSI Standards for protection against splash and splatter, and droplet resistance, and will be available through retailers and on ‪Bauer.com‬ in early August. We’re also offering Reversible Fabric Masks which cover the nose and mouth, providing a comfortable and effective option where face coverings are recommended or required. They are available now through retailers and on ‪Bauer.com‬ To help facilitate a safe return to hockey under this new normal, we will be introducing a BAUER Concept 3 Splash Guard which works with our Concept 3 player face mask to provide additional splash protection around the mouth while maintaining a high level of vision and breathability. It is scheduled to be available at retail locations and on ‪Bauer.com‬ in August. For more information on all of our new protection offerings, visit the link in our bio.

Bauer has partnered with Canlan Ice Sports corporation, as the latter's staff, including zone control attendants and health and safety ambassadors, will use the former's products as part of a comprehensive program to re-open the company’s 49 ice rinks across North America.

Bauer previously halted its sports equipment production to produce and deliver more than 2 million medical grade face-shields back in March, and are back making a huge splash in the sports world. August can't come soon enough!
