If you can’t remember the last time the Cincinnati Bengals won a playoff game it’s because you probably weren’t even born yet or were still in diapers.

With their wild-card round victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Saturday evening, the Bengals picked up their first playoff victory in 31 seasons (31!!) with their last playoff win coming back on January 6, 1991, against the Houston Oilers.

That’s how long ago it was, the team they beat doesn’t even exist anymore, and the team who ended up eliminating them in the next round was the Los Angeles Raiders, who have moved a few times since then.

With their win, the Bengals no longer hold the longest NFL playoff game win drought as the Detroit Lions now hold that crown.

The last time the Bengals won a playoff game only four players on Cincinnati’s active roster were alive, and a majority of them weren’t born until a few years later.

Cincinnati’s turnaround this season has been truly incredible as their young offensive leaders put up a historic year as a squad and they’re only just getting started.
