Rob Gronkowski is one of the greatest tight ends to ever play in the NFL, but the four-time Pro Bowl selection made a very poor decision on Sunday afternoon during the New England Patriots’ game against the Buffalo Bills.

In the fourth quarter, Gronk let his emotions get the best of him as he delivered a very late and unnecessary hit on Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White while the rookie was already down on the ground.

Surprisingly, the Patriots’ tight end was not ejected for his hit and remained in the game despite the fact White was placed in the concussion protocol immediately after.

Following the game, the two head coaches greeted each other in the post-game scrum on the field and that’s where Bill Belichick took the opportunity to apologize to Bills head coach Sean McDermott for Gronk’s hit.

Following the game, the 28-year-old apologized for his actions and explained why he lost his cool.

It’s unknown whether or not Gronk will be suspended for his hit, but he can expect to pay a fine in the next few days.
