Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette’s MLB career is off to a blazing hot start. Through eight games, the 21-year-old is batting a ridiculous .417 with three homers, 4 RBI and a more than respectable .462 OBP. Throw six consecutive games with a double in their (and back-to-back outings with a homer), and you essentially have yourself a video game character. But, if it were up to Bichette, he would trade all of his hits to never make an error.

Seriously.

After leading the Jays to a 2-0 win with his homer and double on Monday night, the Jays’ 2016 66th overall pick said just that after the win. Jays fans, this is going to make you want to run through a brick wall.

Bo #Bichette says he’d trade all of his hits to never make another error

If this guy’s jerseys aren’t flying off the shelves after this take then something is seriously, seriously wrong with the world.

As flawless as he’s been at the plate, Bichette did commit an error in a 6-5 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday. Clearly it was still in his head even after last night’s performance.

Through eight games with Bichette on the roster, the Jays are 6-2 and easily playing their best ball of the season. Bichette, us Canadian baseball fans will allow the odd error, just please don’t trade them in for your hitting. WE NEED YOUR HITTING!!!!
