Dana White's Contender Series has become a staple for the promotion in ushering rising talent into the Octagon. With fighters like Sean O'Malley, Alex Perez, Taila Santos and Marina Rodriguez all making their UFC debuts on the show, there is fair reason to believe that those who get a shot at a UFC contract through DWCS are fighters worth keeping an eye on.

That didn't change in Season 6. After setting a record number of fighters to earn contracts in each of the past three seasons, the UFC once again bested itself by signing 43 competitors this year, topping the previous record of 39 fighters to earn contracts in Season 5.

Some of the fighters to earn contracts, including Vinicius Salvador, Waldo Cortes-Acosta, Jamal Pogues, Jose Johnson and Gabriel Bonfim have already signed for upcoming bouts with the promotion later this year. And Joe Pyfer, the lone fighter to earn a contract in Episode 1, has already earned his first win in the UFC with a victory over Alen Amedovski on Sept. 17.
