Brad Marchand is one of the most polarizing players in the NHL for fans, but apparently he’s polarizing for the players as well.
The latest NHLPA Players Poll has been released and among a bunch of fun votes, there were the votes for the best and worst trash talker in the league. As you’re scrolling down, it’s not surprising to hear that Marchand was given the best trash talker, but then right after you see he was also voted as the worst.
It actually kind of makes sense, because a lot of votes are going to come out of spite. If you’re good at chirping, you’re going to make some enemies that automatically call your chirps bad.
We don’t often get to hear Marchand’s chirps, but when we do, we’re always delighted.
If we had to pick our favourite from over the years, we’d for sure go back to this classic he said to Leo Komarov with Ray Ferraro between the benches.
Of course, we can’t underrate his Twitter chirps either. He’s been throwing out a lot of those lately.
