Wednesday night was certainly one to forget for the Ottawa Senators!

The nation’s capital got DOMINATED in a 7-1 lost to the Oilers and to say the players were a little irked after would be an understatement. Ottawa has not dropped four of their last five and the fellas are pretty sick and tired of losing by now. It’s tough to blame them with a 9-19-1 record and Brady Tkachuk let it allllll out after the final horn.

In his words, the lost was “absolutely embarrassing.”

Yup, pretty accurate with that statement right there! Brady’s been one of the few bright spots on the rebuilding Sens this season, currently sitting tied for second on the team with 18 points. However, he’s scoreless over his last six, a span that’s seen Ottawa score just 11 goals total over that time. Head coach D.J. Smith was obviously rattled after the loss, too.

It doesn’t look like Ottawa will be sniffing the playoffs this year but with tons of young talent in their system, better things should come in the near future. The two squads square off again on Saturday night.
