If there’s one thing we know about Ryan Reaves, it’s that he takes rivalries in hockey VERY seriously. When he was in Vegas with the Golden Knights, Reaves seemed to be in the centre of everything when it came to playing divisional or geographical rivals. We all remember his run ins with San Jose Sharks’ players Joe Thornton and Evander Kane, right?

Now a member of the New York Rangers, we have no doubt that it’s just a matter of time until Reaves makes his presence known against the Rangers fellow New York hockey team, the Islanders. While Reaves didn’t play in the Rangers’ preseason opener against the Isles, he definitely got a little taste of the rivalry when one fan pulled a fast one on him!

It must have been a little nerve-racking to fool one of the NHL’s toughest players into a photo. Instead of reacting too much, Reaves simply looks down at the jersey and offers a sheepish smile before walking away.

That’s enough pictures for one day!
