Hockey players are tough. Everyone knows that. Even so, every once in a while we see a picture, video, or hear some story that still makes us go “…Wow”.

With playoffs coming up, it’s about that time of year where will start hearing more and more of these stories. One that’s rolled on through is Brayden Schenn, who got rocked into a stanchion by Lawson Crouse during Tuesday’s 3-1 loss to Arizona.

He left the ice bloodied in the 2nd period, but – as you may have come to expect from these ice warriors – he returned for the 3rd period with a few stitches.

Later he had to leave the ice again after getting clipped by a high stick. The result?

 

 

A pretty beat up face, that’s what. Honestly, the yellow-tint he's got going on just looks like team spirit.
