The Houston Astros made history on Wednesday night when they captured their first World Series title in franchise history with a 5-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7.

Considering the team failed to make the postseason last year and lost 100 or more games for three consecutive years from 2011-2013, you can bet the post-game party in the locker room was a big one.

During the celebration, third baseman Alex Bregman decided to go live on Instagram to share the moment with other Astros fans and his followers and he happened to find out Justin Verlander has two more years left on his deal during that time and he was pretty pumped up about the news.

The 34-year-old pitcher was acquired by the Astros from the Detroit Tigers minutes before the waiver trade deadline on August 31, and he put together an outstanding postseason with his new team. The 2011 AL Cy Young Award winner started five games for the Astros and struck out 38 batters over 36.2 innings to go along with a 2.21 ERA with a 0.82 WHIP.
