Remember last season when Brett Connolly left Evgeny Kuznetsov hanging?

If you need a refresher, here's the GIF of the reviewed play later deemed a good goal, which happened to win GIF of the Year by the NHL.

You'd think Connolly wouldn't dare to leave a fellow teammate hanging again now would be? Well, on Friday night in the Caps' 6-5 shootout loss to the Florida  Panthers, Connolly committed the same act again, neglecting to give Jakub Vrana the first bump after setting Connolly up for the Caps' second goal of the game. The goal seemed to spark the Caps, as they came from behind after falling down 4-1 to Florida.

Vrana's facial expression midframe after bumping his own hands together is hilarious.

Connolly, come on man, work on your peripheral vision and stop turning fist bumps into missed bumps. Maybe he had a terrible experience with fist-bumping a friend and has decided to never do them again.

Nope, not next time.
