Drew Brees gave it everything he had in what could be the final season of his NFL career.

The future Hall of Famer looked noticeably injured throughout the season and was even forced to miss weeks BLANK-BLANK to recover and get right for the playoffs. But now, with his season and potentially career now in the books, we have a clearer idea of the pain he played through over the course of the last year. Brittany Brees, the wife of Drew, revealed in her latest Instagram post that the latter suffered a torn rotator cuff, 11 cracked rips, a punctured lung and torn fascia in his foot, all through the course of the 16 game season.

And he STILL started in 14 games including the playoffs.

That’s crazy Drew, but we expect nothing less from you stud! We can only imagine what emotions were going on between both Drew and Brittany after the Saints’ loss to the Bucs.

Brees, 42, went just 19-35 for 134 yards, one touchdown, and one interception while looking noticeably weak in the pocket. Regardless, the NFL’ all-time leading passer left it all on the field in his last year. If this is it… congrats on a brilliant career, Drew!
