The Minnesota Wild are in the midst of a rough patch but head coach Bruce Boudreau is confident his players will turn things around.

Minni has dropped six of their last seven and a once promising campaign has left fans wondering if the team will return to the postseason. But despite their struggles, Boudreau boldly stated that the Wild will make their way back to the playoffs during an appearance on KFAN1003. He also added that his team will be “hard to deal with”.

Boudreau’s led the Wild to the playoffs in each of his two seasons with the team but has been knocked out in the first round both years. Minnesota has won just two series since 2004 and have yet to make a Stanley Cup appearance.  They currently sit just two points ahead of the Vancouver Canucks with 59 points.

It looks like the 64-year-old has experienced a bit of a change in attitude lately. He put his veterans on full blast just one week ago after an ugly 4-1 home loss to the struggling Edmonton Oilers. Just classic Bruce being Bruce.

To make matters worse, the Wild will be without their captain Mikko Koivu for the remainder of the season after he was ruled out with a torn ACL. They aren’t viewed as a threat by any means right now but you never know what can happen in the playoffs.

Do you agree with him?
