The Calgary Flames made a very important announcement on Monday afternoon.
The Flames held a press conference to announce the signing of nine-year-old Fionn Daly to a one-day contract, and to introduce him to the media.
Daly was born in Ireland, but moved to Calgary a few years ago when he was just five-years-old. He currently plays defence for the Calgary Venom of the Calgary Sledge Hockey Association, and got to practice alongside his favourite team through Make-A-Wish Southern Alberta and the Calgary Flames Foundation.
Not only did the youngster get to meet the members of the Flames and practice with him, he also made some new friends and memories that he’ll never forget.
It’s always awesome to see teams and athletes step up to make a child’s dream come true.
