WHAT. A. MATCH.

As soon as you saw how much snow was on the ground in Edmonton, you knew this wasn’t going to be an ordinary soccer match. Canada was hosting Mexico is what was cleverly dubbed “Iceteca” – a nod to Mexico’s famous Azteca Stadium, with a Canadian twist.

Canada didn’t disappoint in front of the home fans. Two goals from Cyle Larin got Canada out to a 2-0 lead, and the Canadians managed to hang on despite giving up a goal just before stoppage time.

Oh, how sweet it is for Canada!

Twitter quickly caught fire as Canada reacted to the thrilling victory.
