The Canadian Olympic Team registered their 27th medal of the Pyeongchang Winter Games after Kaetlyn Osmond won a bronze in the women’s figure skating on Friday in Pyeongchang.

Osmond finished with a score of 231.02 after her Black Swan routine produced a whopping  152.15 points. The 22-year-old was born in Marystown, Newfoundland, but now hails in Edmonton.

With the bronze, the Canadian Olympic Team surpassed their single Winter Olympic Games medal count of 26 set at the Vancouver 2010 Games, setting a new national record of 27.

As of Friday, Canada has combined to win 10 gold medals, eight silver and nine bronze, putting them 2nd overall in the medal standings only to Norway’s total of 36 (13 gold, 13 silver, 10 bronze).

The all-time record for gold medal was also set in Vancouver with a total of 14. In the 1984 Summer Games in Los Angeles, Team Canada combined for 44 medals, the most the country has won at any Olympic Games, after the Sovient Union and 15 others countries decided not to attend.
