It is not the happiest moment for British F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, but some may say itโ€™s his most admirable. Hamilton, who is used to being one of the front-runners in just about every race heโ€™s a part of, experienced a hydraulic failure in the final moments of German Grand Prix qualifying, forcing the F1 star to actually hop out of his car and desperately try to push it to his final goal.

Unfortunately he was unable to make it. Hamilton was told he had to retire due to hydraulic fluid leaking onto the track. The effort has been met with a lot of respect, as the usually polarizing driver seemed to win over some of those that donโ€™t usually like him.

Following the valiant attempt, Hamilton was seen crouching next to his car nothing short of crushed. The failure means that he will start in 14th position for the German Grand Prix, and to rub it in just a little bit more, Sebastian Vettel is starting in the pole position.

Vettel currently sits eight points ahead of Hamilton in the F1 Championship standings, and the results from his home countryโ€™s qualifying event will most likely widen the gap.

When all the dust had settled, Hamilton took to Instagram to pen a four-page heartfelt message explaining what happened and how he was dealing with the crushing failure.

No matter how you feel about Hamilton, it is hard not to admire the passionate attempt. As Hamilton says, tomorrow is a new day, and you know heโ€™s going to come back with a vengeance.
