The NHL is officially in offseason mode and with the 2019-20 campaign just months away, general managers will be doing everything in their power to bolster their roster over the summer. One name that’s been involving in trade rumours for months now is Jason Zucker, and on Friday at the draft, Wild general manager Paul Fenton confirmed that he would move the 27-year-old if the “right thing” came to him. This, unsurprisingly, did not sit well with Jason’s wife Carly, who fired back with a pretty witty tweet of her own in response.

Ouch.

Some shade from Carly Zucker 👀😶

Hockey fans were loving what she had to say.

And then there were those who voiced their speculation over where the Zuckers could end up living next.

A second round pick in the 2010 draft, Zucker’s coming off of 22, 33, and 21 goal campaigns respectively over the past three seasons and inked a five-year, $27.5 million contract prior to the 2018-19 campaign. But after swapping Mikael Granlund for the younger Kevin Fiala and trading Charlie Coyle for Ryan Donato and a fifth-rounder, Fenton’s quest for getting younger could continue with a Zucker trade. They possessed 12 players aged 30 or older throughout last season their roster.

This summer should be interesting for both the Zuckers and Fenton. Time will tell how things pan out.
