CFL fan receives a surprise visit during his Grey Cup party

CFL fans are some of the most passionate fans in all of sports and one of the most historic trophies in that same sphere is the Grey Cup.

The trophy was made in 1909 and actually predates the start of the NFL by 11 years, so it’s been around. Although many teams have celebrated with the trophy and it’s been in existence for this long, it’s still an exclusive item. So, when you’re hosting a CFL party and it shows up at your front door, you’re bound to be pretty excited.

One lucky fan, Paul from Ottawa, got to be that excited.

Brought all the way up to his 20^th floor condo next overlooking BC place, the Grey Cup stayed at Paul’s party for a short while to allow fans to take photos and touch the trophy. It’s quite an honour to hang out with the trophy that all those players are battling so hard to obtain and Paul was thrilled.

He wasn’t the only person to get to spend some time with the trophy tonight either. The Toronto Argonauts will definitely be bringing it to a party or two.
