A couple weeks back, the hockey world and pop culture collided when Chrissy Teigen, a noted Twitter chirper that loves to engage with her fans and critics on social media sent out what seemed like an innocuous tweet out claiming that she could be a goaltender.

The tweet was obviously very tongue-in-cheek, but we know how the internet loves to make a mountain out a molehill and twist things out of context. Hockey fans flooded her Twitter account, while Miller was called out for replying for being too defensive and replying to her tweets four days later.

Miller fired back at Teigen, claiming he could be a model, which set off alarm bells on Twitter that the two were engaging in an internet beef, causing people to ridicule Miller with the popular “please like my sport” phrase for trying to disparage Teigen.

The jabs were merely jokes, although if you were unfamiliar with Miller and Teigen’s sense of humour, you’d probably think the exchange wasn’t completely innocent.

But, after all the chirps were delivered, Teigen concluded their faux feud by tweeting at Miller that her Twitter bio now said “could not be a goalie.”

If there was really any doubt that there was actual tension between the two celebrities, Miller and Teigen recently attended a wine launching party for Teigen’s spouse, John Legend, where Miller brought his wife, Noureen DeWulf. The two couples mingled together and took a couple photos together, and continued to go along with their supposed beef.

Now that is what you call “good interneting.”

So, there you have it, Chrissy Teigen now officially knows hockey.
