Goalies are, to put it kindly, unique and their pre-game routines mirror their unique personalities.

On Tuesday night, the NHL on NBC shared some awesome footage of Connor Hellebuyck's pre-game routine as he prepared for Game 4 against the Wild there was one thing that stood out to us as we watched it.

We've seen the eyes routine from other goalies, but the very close staredown with Joel Armia was a new one for us.

As odd as it might be, it gets Hellebuyck focused and he was dialed in against the Wild as he recorded a 30-save shutout to help the Jets take a 3-1 series lead.

Earlier in the day, Hellebuyck was also named a Vezina Trophy finalist, so it was a good day for the 24-year-old to say the least.

Who’s your pick to win the #Vezina? 🤔
