Following the all the post-match chaos that ensued after Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Conor McGregor to retain the UFC lightweight belt on Saturday night in Las Vegas, McGregor has broken his silence.

The “Notorious MMA” took to his Twitter account at 5:20 am ET and is already looking ahead to a potential rematch against his rival.

The “Good knock” reference in the tweet referred to the blindside punches he took from former UFC fighter Zubaira Tukhugov inside the octagon after the Russian leaped into the crowd and attacked McGregor’s Jiu-Jitsu trainer partner Dillon Danis, a Bellator welterweight. Islam Makhachev, another former UFC fighter, also jumped in and landed a couple blows.

You can watch the full sequence of the events below.

After Khabib choked out McGregor to improve to 27-0, he appeared to spit on McGregor before pointing and throwing his mouth guard towards the general direction of McGregor’s where he taunted and yelled at them.

The sequence of events steams back from months of trash talking from McGregor. Back in April, McGregor and his camp attacked Khabib on a bus by throwing a dolly cart through the window that resulted in McGregor pleading guilty to disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to community service and anger management classes as a result.

As per Dana White, Khabib and his team were arrested for the post-match shenanigans but were released after McGregor opted not to file charges.

White withheld handing over the championship belt to Khabib after the dust had settled. Both parties were escorted away from the ring with a heavy security presence, with Khabib receiving a ton of water bottles and beer cups being thrown in his direction inside T-Mobile Arena that was predominantly filled with McGregor supporters.
