Croatia may have lost the World Cup, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have reason to celebrate. The dark horse Croatian squad tromped their way to the World Cup final in an improbable run, eliminating Denmark, Russia, and England along the way.
Unfortunately for Croatia, that’s as far as they would go. Clad in their iconic red and white checkered jerseys, Croatia fell to France in a very entertaining 4-2 game.
If you thought Croatia was just going to let their heads down and go back to their day to day life, think again. The country gave a hero’s welcome to their soccer stars, and if you didn’t know the score of the game you may very well have thought that Croatia had won. Apparently they were waiting there for over eight hours.
