Auston Matthews and Sidney Crosby faced off at the All-Star Game in the Atlantic vs. Metropolitan 3v3 matchup and while Matthews’ team won the game, Crosby got the best of him on one play.

Crosby has always been known as more of an efficient player than a flashy one and he proved that again at the All-Star game. While most people were focusing on dangles and snipes, Crosby used Matthews as a screen and snuck one past the goalie. Matthews then jokingly chirped Crosby about it at the faceoff dot when the team’s regrouped.

“Really? Through the screen?”

To that, Crosby had some simple advice for Matthews, although were don’t think he’s going to be following it in an All-Star game.

"You gotta get down and block that."

Funny enough, Matthews got chirped for missing the block on two separate occasions at the All-Star Game. After Drew Doughty put home a one-timer in the final game, Connor McDavid pointed out that he almost hit Matthews’ leg while he was flamingoing in front of the net.
