Canadians have been known to celebrate their gold medals in a particular way at the Olympics and John Morris clearly plans on continuing that tradition.

Morris, who already shared a friendly beer with his US competitor yesterday, plans on celebrating his Mixed Doubles gold medal with some more beer. Mixed Doubles is a somewhat new event and may not have attracted the biggest names in curling, but Morris had a pretty simple explanation as to why it won’t take long for others to join in.

It’s simple – the celebration is the same.

Basically what he’s saying is, you’re going to celebrate the gold medal the same way, no matter what category you win – so entering the new competition shouldn’t feel different than any other curling events.

So, if there was any doubt as to how Morris would be celebrating his win, he put that to bed pretty quickly. The only thing that could have made it more Canadian was if the beer started flowing on the ice.
