The 100th edition of the Giro d’Italia is currently taking place in Italy with less than 10 stages left in the race.

During the 5th stage on May 10, Slovenian cyclist Luka Pibernik made a terrible blunder that he may never live down during the second last lap of the race.

Thinking he had just completed the final lap of the race, the 23-year-old threw his arms up in the air to celebrate, allowing a lot of the cyclists in the race to catch up to him.

He was probably a little confused as to why everyone else was still coming at him so quickly after he had just “won” the race.

To make it even worse, he ended up finishing 20 seconds behind the winner in 148th spot.
