Jaromir Jagr’s NHL career could potentially be over, and the Calgary Flames officially placing him on waivers is never a way you want to see the legends leave the game. The storied winger sits high up in most offensive statistical categories, and his career has been a fantastic one dating all the way back to his first – 1990-91.

Jagr’s health and age didn’t allow for him to continue at the NHL pace, but fans of the mulleted Czech would be happy to know that the demand to see Jagr overseas is so overwhelming that organizers are having trouble accommodating.

Jagr is active for his first game with Kladno on Saturday, an away game against Benatky. According to the National Post, their opposition, who usually plays home games at Benatky nad Jizerou, has an average attendance of 276. With Jagr returning, it was determined that the 1,700 seat arena would not be enough to host a Kladno team sporting a fresh #68 jersey.

Instead they will play in Home Credit Arena, located 70 kilometres away, which holds a capacity of 7,500. Despite being over four times the size, the game was still easily sold out. According to Czech-based reporter Roman Jedlicka, it is something the league should get used to.

To emphasize how crazy Jagr-Mania has become over there, these sell outs are happening despite Jagr straight up telling fans that he will barely play as his injury is still hampering him, and that he is only suiting up in the first place to qualify as eligible for playoffs.
