For the past few months, Dale Hawerchuk has been away from his role as the head coach of the OHL’s Barrie Colts due to a battle with stomach cancer.
On Monday, his son Eric announced on Twitter that Dale has completed his final round of chemotherapy. The Hall of Famer rang the "Bell of Hope" on his way out, and thanked the hockey world for their support.
It’s great to see Hawerchuk doing well, and of course, everyone has had his back throughout his battle.
