Derek Dietrich is currently in his first season with the Cincinnati Reds after spending the past six seasons with the Miami Marlins and he’s quickly  becoming a fan favourite among the Reds faithful.

Over his past three games the 29-year-old has four home runs and 8 RBI and he’s been getting the job done off the field as well. Dietrich got Monday afternoon off but that doesn’t mean he didn’t put in work at the ballpark.

Dietrich was back in the lineup on Tuesday night as the Reds paid a visit to the Oakland A’s, but they were faced with another unusual delay as there was a lighting malfunction in the stadium. However, it’s a good thing they were playing the Reds because they had Dietrich in the building to check out the issue.

The game ended up getting underway shortly after, so if you need someone to fix any issues in a ballpark moving forward Derek Dietrich is your guy.
