It’s been just over five months since Ermias Joseph Asghedom, also known as Nipsey Hussle, was murdered outside of his store, Marathon Clothing, in South Los Angeles and those who were closest to him are still finding ways to pay tribute to him and honour his life.

Asghedom did a lot for his community and was friends with a lot of professional athletes, especially guys who grew up in his neighbourhood and hailed from the same area, including Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson.

Jackson and Asghedom both grew up in the Crenshaw neighbourhood and are just over a year apart, so in honour of his late friend Jackson is going to wear custom Nipsey Hussle-inspired cleats for every single pre-game this season and then he’s going to auction them off on the NFL’s website.

Not only is Jackson going to honour Nipsey Hussle every single week, but he’s going to donate all the proceeds from the auctions towards the Neighborhood Nip Foundation and is going to personally match all the funds raised and donate them to Asghedom’s children, Kross and Emani.

Incredibly classy move by the three-time Pro Bowler.
