If there’s one thing NHL fans have learned about New Jersey Devils forward Blake Coleman over the past year it's that he has a crazy obsession with pickle juice and pickles, and he’s even been spotted drinking the juice in the middle of games.

Now in his third season with the Devils, Coleman has taken it upon himself to start a new community platform and he gained the inspiration through, you guessed it, pickles.

Known as 'Pickles Pals', Coleman’s new initiative will support the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Newark Ironbound (BCGN) and he’s hoping to inspire young people to read and embrace education through a fun learning environment.

The man known as ‘Pickles’ has fully embraced his nickname in every way possible and is now using it to help benefit local youth. On top of the community support, 'Pickles Pals' will also host members of the BCGN at select home games during the season.
