Hockey fans had a couple of reasons to look forward to the Flames and Kings game Wednesday night.

For starters, Jaromir Jagr was making his Flames debut.

If that wasn't exciting enough, though, the game also featured Drew Doughty and Matthew Tkachuk renewing acquaintances.

Last season, Doughty called out Tkachuk after he elbowed him in the head during a game.  The Flames forward was given a two-game suspension for the hit.

Based on what he said last season, Tkachuk wanted to move on from the entire ordeal between him, Doughty and the Kings.

Based on what happened Wednesday night, though, things are just heating up between the two.

In the third period with Doughty already in the penalty box, Tkachuk got involved in some rough stuff in front of the Kings' net and was given a penalty on the play.

Once he got into the box, he and Doughty proceeded to have an animated shouting match that caught the attention of everyone watching the game.

You can bet there was some explicit language being spewed in the penalty box and it probably had nothing to do with post-game dinner plans.

You can also bet that when these teams meet again on January 4th, Doughty and Tkachuk will probably mix it up again.

This round went to Tkachuk, though, as he scored two goals in Calgary's 4-3 overtime win.
