It’s been a hectic past couple of days for Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl.

The third-year phenome was dominant for the Oilers during the postseason, scoring 16 points in just 13 games. His team’s run came to an end, though, after they dropped game seven to the Anaheim Ducks in the Western Conference semi-finals.

Draisaitl was not ready to hit the greens yet, so he quickly returned to his home country (Germany) to compete in the IIHF World Championships. Just nine hours after landing in Frankfurt, he recorded his first point with the team.

That didn’t take long.

Germany went on to win 4-1, and improved to 2-1-1-2 in the tournament. Jet-lagged or not, the 21-year-old can light up the scoresheet anywhere he goes.
