When you think Toronto, you think Drake.
The hip hop artist has become a symbol for the city since his rise to stardom, (even if Kanye isn’t a fan of him right now) and has closely aligned himself with the Toronto Raptors.
The singer has become a key part of the team, despite not actually being a player, and is the team’s most prominent ambassador. The Raptors are closely aligned with Drake’s OVO brand, and he can be seen in his courtside seats whenever his schedule allows.
So, it’s no surprise then, that one Toronto Raptors celebrity has made friends with another, and Drake took to Instagram to share a shot with the Raps’ newest superstar, Kawhi Leonard.
Though neither party is smiling in the snap, we’d like to imagine we see some love in their eyes. Despite nagging injury, Kawhi has performed very well in his first few months as a Raptor, and hopefully, a solid friendship with the team’s favourite fan will inspire him to stay long-term.
