The Los Angeles Kings made their yearly trip to Buffalo on Saturday afternoon for a date with the Sabres, but it probably felt like they were playing a California rival based on how many Kings jerseys there were in the stands.

One young fan sitting near the team’s bench showed up early for warm-ups and it’s a good thing he did because he went home with a souvenir he’s going to cherish for the rest of his life.

They figured they’d give it a shot and ask Drew Doughty for a puck, but the 2015-16 Norris Trophy winner went a little further and signed the puck for the youngster, which left him speechless.

We love seeing athletes come through for young fans like this.
