The Raptors had a historic year as a franchise, but the top seed in the East was swept in the second round of the playoffs by the Cavaliers which led to Dwane Casey being fired.
The coach of the year candidate was instrumental in helping the Raptors franchise reach new heights during his tenure in Toronto, so you knew it wouldn't take long for him to find a new home.

On Monday, it was reported that Casey will become the head coach of the Pistons after agreeing on a 5-year deal with the team.
It was unfortunate that Casey took the fall for Toronto's playoff shortcomings, but the basketball world is happy he's got another opportunity in Detroit.
Meanwhile, the lone head coaching vacancy in the NBA now belongs to the Toronto Raptors.
