Dwyane Wade has played against and with some of the best the game’s had to offer, so if he gives you a compliment on your game and compares you to one of the greatest it’s a pretty big honour.

On Wednesday night D-Wade and the Miami Heat got their first taste of Dallas Mavericks rookie sensation Luka Dončić and the 19-year-old’s efforts did not go unnoticed by the future Hall of Famer. Following the game, the three-time NBA champion wanted it to be known that Dončić is the real deal and compared aspects of his game to LeBron James.

The Mavericks shooting guard has gained respect from the entire league through his first 55 career games where he’s averaging 20.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game.

Dallas might not have a shot at the postseason this year, but their future is bright with Dončić on board.
