The Toledo Walleye and Alaska Aces went head-to-head in a mini three-game series in ECHL action last weekend. The first of the three games took place on Friday in Anchorage, Alaska, and the two teams needed a shootout to decide on a winner. The teams went back and forth without a winner until the 10th round of the shootout. That’s when Walleye defenceman Jacob MacDonald stepped up.

It’s always the defenceman who shoots late in the shootout that ends up pulling off some insane trick for the game-winning goal. Take another look at it.

The 23-year-old defenceman has 6 goals in 24 games this season, and has totaled 63 points in 104 career ECHL games.
