One week into the CFL’s regular season and we already have ourselves a catch of the year candidate.

Calgary Stampeders wide receiver Juwan Brescacin made a lot of jaws drop last night after he came down with an Odell Beckham Jr. type catch. Brescacin sprawled out and made a one-handed snag after Bo Levi Mitchell spotted him from way out.

Early catch of the year candidate 🚨! Are you SERIOUS Juwan Brescacin?! #CFLKickoff

Simply stunned, Brescacin’s teammates couldn’t believe their eyes. The best reaction came from defensive back Emanuel Davis, who insisted the play was worthy of cracking SportsCentre. The guy was losing it from the sideline!

Was there ever any doubt, Emanuel? The play was unsurprisingly featured on last night’s show.

Yesterday's CFL action was full of crazy moments. In the following game, BC Lions defensive back Marcell Young absolutely laid out a “streaker” who managed to make his way onto the field. Brace yourself, because the impact was HUGE.

(By the way- that also managed to make its way onto SportsCentre).

If the rest of the CFL season is anything like the one we just witnessed, Canadian Football fans are in for one entertaining year.
