Free agency is a time full of emotions for professional athletes. There may be a level of excitement, but there’s also uncertainty that is sometimes tough to handle.

For former Portland Trail Blazer centre Enes Kanter, there was even more uncertainty than usual.

In a message to The Undefeated, Kanter opened up about a very unorthodox approach that the Blazers took when attempting to re-sign him. Apparently they put a time limit on his decision, and it wasn’t a very long one…

Very strange approach. Reminds us of Dwight Schrute trying to convince Michael Scott to make him the acting manager.

“DO IT. NOW. JUST DO IT. FIVE, FOUR, THREE, TWO, ONE. DO IT.”

If it is true, it’s a very strange call to not let a player even talk to his family about the major life decision. Enes Kanter is certainly someone that has a flare for the dramatics though.
