Erik Karlsson recently joined the 2017 NHL summer marriage club, and his ceremony with wife Melinda Currey looked pretty spectacular.

As is tradition, the two left for their honeymoon shortly after for the lovely Bora Bora; an island in French Polynesia. According to the caption in Karlsson’s most recent Instagram video, the two never received their bags. That didn’t stop them, though, from celebrating their marriage in front of the bluest water you’ll ever see. Karlsson also shared his thoughts on littering (you don’t hear those two things r4elating to each oother every day). Right before cracking what looks to be a bottle of champagne, the Senators captain had a very clear message about his thoughts on throwing garbage in the ocean.

Our bags never showed up but that's not gonna stop us from celebrating. #honeymoon @melindacurrey

“We don’t throw $h!* in the ocean”. Hopefully people will follow the Swede’s lead in the future.

Karlsson should be soaking in all of the hot weather and sand that he can get, because before he knows it, he’ll be back competing on the ice.
